You can feel better and it doesn’t have to be hard.

Feeling more like yourself again is possible and the process to get there doesn’t have to be challenging. Having a comprehensive evaluation to get a better sense of what has happened and where your time is best invested with exercise helps guide your physiotherapy recovery plan. I’ll work with you to help reach your recovery goals.

I work with folks who have:

  • neck and lower back pain

  • pain related to their posture

  • muscle pain, joint stiffness, and loss of movement due to injury or osteoarthritis

  • had surgery and need post-op care for their shoulder, knee, hip, foot, and more

  • surgery booked and need pre-op care for their shoulder, knee, hip, foot, and more

  • acute injuries, including ligament sprains and muscle strains at the ankle, wrist, knee, shoulder, and more

  • chronic injuries that haven’t fully healed or are easily re-injured

  • TMJ/jaw pain, clicking or stiffness

The Wave Physiotherapy Approach

1

The assessment starts with a detailed health history, and speaking about your current issue and what you would like to get back to. Understanding what’s important to you and what’s going on help to guide what to look at during the physical exam.

2

Next, we’ll run through a thorough examination. This may include functional movements (like squats), mobility and strength testing, evaluating your nervous system (ie reflexes), and taking a feel of the area that you’re having trouble with.

3

Then we review the assessment results, what these findings mean, and what the plan to help you feel better looks like. Depending on the type of condition, your session may include hands-on treatment and an active program for home.
