Physiotherapy care without the clinical feeling.

We’ve all had the experience of being in an environment where it’s hard to feel relaxed. Maybe it was at the doctor’s office or during an emergency room visit. It was loud, busy, and maybe even lacked privacy. It was hard to pay attention to all the information being given to us at the time. We left feeling rushed and had more questions than answers walking out the door.

You won’t have that experience here.

Wave Physiotherapy was intentionally designed to feel less like a typical clinic to help you feel at ease. Your time will always be 1:1 with a physiotherapist and there’s no double-booking so your appointment will not get interrupted. A lot of thought and care went into the experience I’ve curated at Wave Physiotherapy. I truly hope you enjoy your time in the clinic as much as I do!

I was inspired to become a physiotherapist while at a local hospital for a day-long experience of what a patient experience could be like after a serious accident. My time in the rehab department with the physiotherapy team was so engaging and showed just how much they loved their jobs. I instantly knew that physiotherapy was the job for me - it was truly love at first sight!!

My pathway to becoming a physiotherapist took me to the University of Toronto where I had the opportunity to learn from skilled physiotherapists, both in classes and during my placements at hospitals and clinics. After finishing my Master of Science in Physical Therapy, I settled in Guelph while working in a physiotherapy clinic and completing post-graduate training in orthopaedic treatment. After seven years, the energy of the city drew me back to Toronto!

Working in Toronto allowed me to learn what vestibular rehabilitation should look like and I was fortunate enough to be mentored by an exceptional physiotherapist who truly loved working with vestibular conditions. As I worked with people with dizziness, vertigo and balance issues, my love for vestibular physiotherapy continued to grow. This led me to complete my Certificate in Vestibular Rehabilitation at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and pursue additional training in care for children with vestibular issues with further courses.

When I’m not at the clinic, I enjoy spending my downtime baking, making jam, reading, gardening, hiking, and going for long walks with my dogs.
